a. If you are a new patient that has not filled out any necessary forms, please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment.
b. If you are a new patient that has filled out all required documents, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
c. All other existing patients, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
For yearly exams, your appointment will take slightly over an hour.
New patients please anticipate longer appointment times. New patient evaluations typically last up to two hours long depending on a patient's specific needs.
We work to ensure that all patients have a comprehensive exam and consultation; in order to answer all questions or concerns, appointments may go over an hour.
For dilated eye exams, we recommend that you have someone to drive you home since your eyes may be slightly impaired. If you cannot have someone drive you home, we encourage you to bring sunglasses, which will help you see better.
We accept most major insurances except for Medicaid insurances; however, we strongly advise you to double-check with your insurance carrier that we participate with your specific plan before booking your appointment.
While we accept most insurance plans, it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure any changes to their insurance coverage before their appointment. Please verify that Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons PC is part of your network to avoid any unexpected charges.
We ask that you bring photo identification and your insurance cards, along with a form of payment and an updated list of medications you are currently taking.
If you are a new patient, we strongly recommend you bring a trusted family member or friend to your initial comprehensive evaluation for support. If you are having a diabetic eye exam performed, please make sure to provide an updated copy of your most recent A1C results.
